About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist with Digital Reporter training programs throughout the United States
  • Facilitate one-week onboarding and training programs for newly hired Digital Reporters
  • Conduct live dictations and hands-on training exercises for trainees
  • Provide mentorship, guidance, and ongoing support to Digital Reporters
  • Deliver feedback and recommendations to strengthen training programs and align with industry trends and business objectives
  • Ensure new hires are proficient in required technology, procedures, and best practices
  • Manage the verbatim capture of legal proceedings utilizing audio and visual technology
  • Create annotations and keyword markers to facilitate transcription workflows
  • Manage speaker identification and exhibit tracking during proceedings
  • Transport, set up, operate, and maintain audio/video equipment, including laptops, mixers, microphones, and software
  • Follow company-defined standards, processes, and operating procedures
  • Represent U.S. Legal Support in a professional, organized, and punctual manner
  • Provide support to Digital Reporters via email, Microsoft Teams, and 8x8
  • Assist reporters with procedural questions and best practices
  • Collaborate with leadership to identify opportunities for process improvement
  • Perform additional administrative and operational duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience as a:
  • Transcriber
  • Typist
  • Law Clerk
  • Legal Assistant
  • Paralegal
  • Videographer
  • Other legal support professional
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to type 60+ words per minute accurately
  • Knowledge of legal studies, communications, or a related field preferred
  • Working knowledge of civil deposition rules and procedures
  • Familiarity with legal terminology
  • Technical knowledge of audio and video equipment
  • Ability to accommodate a flexible and on-call schedule
  • Reliable transportation
  • Professional, customer-service-oriented demeanor
