Digital Reporter – Lead
<Undefined>Digital Reporter Lead training and developing the Digital Reporter team nationwide with hands-on reporting work. Overseeing training and development while capturing legal proceedings.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist with Digital Reporter training programs throughout the United States
- Facilitate one-week onboarding and training programs for newly hired Digital Reporters
- Conduct live dictations and hands-on training exercises for trainees
- Provide mentorship, guidance, and ongoing support to Digital Reporters
- Deliver feedback and recommendations to strengthen training programs and align with industry trends and business objectives
- Ensure new hires are proficient in required technology, procedures, and best practices
- Manage the verbatim capture of legal proceedings utilizing audio and visual technology
- Create annotations and keyword markers to facilitate transcription workflows
- Manage speaker identification and exhibit tracking during proceedings
- Transport, set up, operate, and maintain audio/video equipment, including laptops, mixers, microphones, and software
- Follow company-defined standards, processes, and operating procedures
- Represent U.S. Legal Support in a professional, organized, and punctual manner
- Provide support to Digital Reporters via email, Microsoft Teams, and 8x8
- Assist reporters with procedural questions and best practices
- Collaborate with leadership to identify opportunities for process improvement
- Perform additional administrative and operational duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum three (3) years of experience as a:
- Transcriber
- Typist
- Law Clerk
- Legal Assistant
- Paralegal
- Videographer
- Other legal support professional
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to type 60+ words per minute accurately
- Knowledge of legal studies, communications, or a related field preferred
- Working knowledge of civil deposition rules and procedures
- Familiarity with legal terminology
- Technical knowledge of audio and video equipment
- Ability to accommodate a flexible and on-call schedule
- Reliable transportation
- Professional, customer-service-oriented demeanor
