Registered Nurse – Emergency Department

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Responds to others' priorities regarding safety, physical, psychological and social needs.
- Provides safe patient care as evidenced by the use of barcode medication verification (BMV) during medication administrations.
- Completes accurate documentation in the electronic health record.
- Completes assessments accurately and in a timely manner.
- Individualizes care plans specific to the needs of the patient.
- Provides consistent attention to airway, intake, elimination, sleep, rest, mobility and hygiene needs.
- Honors worth of humans through unconditional acceptance as evidenced by handling of the body with care.
- Demonstrates knowledge of patient rights and incorporates into daily practice.
- Engages family/caregivers in health care situations, and demonstrates recognition and understanding of affiliation needs.
- Provides information, using up to date literature, approved tools including EMMI and demonstrates knowledge of patient's unique learning approach.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Nursing Diploma Nursing Req Or Associate's Degree Nursing Req Or Bachelor's Degree Nursing Pref
- 1 Year Experience as a Registered Nurse or completion of an RN residency program Req
- RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire Req
- BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Req
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support 90 Days Req
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support 90 Days Req
- CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually 90 Days Req
- TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course 6 Months Req Or ATCN - Advanced Trauma Care Nurse 6 Months Req
- A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
