  • Support UNCF’s Branding, Marketing, and Communications team in executing strategic communications and digital engagement efforts
  • Focus on content creation, social media storytelling, and brand-aligned messaging
  • Gain practical experience in nonprofit communications and branding

  • Build a professional portfolio of creative and strategic work
  • Complete a final project that showcases contributions and learning

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university (junior, senior, or graduate student preferred)
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5
  • Demonstrated interest in communications, education equity, or nonprofit service
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Adaptability, initiative, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong writing skills with the ability to adapt tone and messaging across audiences, including students, donors, partners, and the general public
  • Familiarity with major social media platforms and awareness of current content trends and best practices
  • Basic comfort using creative tools (Canva preferred; Adobe Creative Suite is a plus)
  • Understanding of brand stewardship and the importance of thoughtful, accurate, and mission-aligned messaging in public-facing communications
  • Availability to work onsite during our core hours Monday – Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm
  • Availability for occasional evenings and weekends event(s)
Benefits
  • Stipend of $4,000 total for the duration of the program (equivalent to approximately $19.05/hour)
