About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Write, edit, and refine high-quality content for professional development programs
Develop content that reflects adult learning principles and is engaging, culturally responsive, and accessible
Support the content development lifecycle from drafting through final delivery
Research evidence-based practices, literacy standards, and emerging trends
Collaborate with subject matter experts, instructional designers, and product developers
Review and proofread content for clarity, accuracy, and consistency
Incorporate user feedback and direction from the Director to continuously improve content quality
Contribute to a content development process that advances CORE's mission of equitable, accessible literacy education

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Education, Literacy, Linguistics, or a related field required; master's degree preferred
2+ years of professional content development experience within a company, publisher, or educational organization
Experience working within a product development environment strongly preferred
At least 3 years of successful ELA teaching or coaching experience required
Deep, applied expertise in the Science of Reading, structured literacy, and language acquisition
Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage assigned projects and meet deadlines
Ability to work collaboratively within a team and across functions
Proficiency in G-Suite, Zoom, and relevant educational technology tools
Experience with Asana, Jira, or similar project management platforms preferred
Experience with an LMS or CMS preferred
A genuine commitment to literacy education and equitable student outcomes
