About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Write, edit, and refine high-quality content for professional development programs
  • Develop content that reflects adult learning principles and is engaging, culturally responsive, and accessible
  • Support the content development lifecycle from drafting through final delivery
  • Research evidence-based practices, literacy standards, and emerging trends
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts, instructional designers, and product developers
  • Review and proofread content for clarity, accuracy, and consistency
  • Incorporate user feedback and direction from the Director to continuously improve content quality
  • Contribute to a content development process that advances CORE's mission of equitable, accessible literacy education

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Literacy, Linguistics, or a related field required; master's degree preferred
  • 2+ years of professional content development experience within a company, publisher, or educational organization
  • Experience working within a product development environment strongly preferred
  • At least 3 years of successful ELA teaching or coaching experience required
  • Deep, applied expertise in the Science of Reading, structured literacy, and language acquisition
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage assigned projects and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and across functions
  • Proficiency in G-Suite, Zoom, and relevant educational technology tools
  • Experience with Asana, Jira, or similar project management platforms preferred
  • Experience with an LMS or CMS preferred
  • A genuine commitment to literacy education and equitable student outcomes
