About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Write, edit, and refine high-quality content for professional development programs
- Develop content that reflects adult learning principles and is engaging, culturally responsive, and accessible
- Support the content development lifecycle from drafting through final delivery
- Research evidence-based practices, literacy standards, and emerging trends
- Collaborate with subject matter experts, instructional designers, and product developers
- Review and proofread content for clarity, accuracy, and consistency
- Incorporate user feedback and direction from the Director to continuously improve content quality
- Contribute to a content development process that advances CORE's mission of equitable, accessible literacy education
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Education, Literacy, Linguistics, or a related field required; master's degree preferred
- 2+ years of professional content development experience within a company, publisher, or educational organization
- Experience working within a product development environment strongly preferred
- At least 3 years of successful ELA teaching or coaching experience required
- Deep, applied expertise in the Science of Reading, structured literacy, and language acquisition
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage assigned projects and meet deadlines
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and across functions
- Proficiency in G-Suite, Zoom, and relevant educational technology tools
- Experience with Asana, Jira, or similar project management platforms preferred
- Experience with an LMS or CMS preferred
- A genuine commitment to literacy education and equitable student outcomes
