About the role
- Manage complex, cross-team, multi-product initiatives that require deep coordination, alignment, and integration across Unanet’s product portfolio
- Research, define, and design requirements and scope through epics, user stories, and diagrams
- Partner with Product Managers to understand the ‘Why’ to enable you to own the ‘What’ in detailed user stories, supporting Engineering’s execution in “How.” Help define quarterly plan objectives, goals, and deliverables with other team members
- Validate functionality and workflows to ensure we’re solving the right problems for our customers
- Understand and utilize our customer profiles and user personas to deliver high value functionality
- Partner with a variety of stakeholders and cross-functional teams to execute on our product roadmap by planning and prioritizing objectively
- Set your engineers up for success by collaborating with them in sprint activities, providing them with relevant user stories and guiding them in estimation
- Manage the intake of work to your product backlog, including day-to-day grooming and prioritization; facilitate iteration planning efforts to ensure your development team has organized work
- Increase refinement velocity by ensuring user stories are well-defined, prioritized, and ready for development ahead of sprint cycles
- Play a key role in the evolution of our analytics offering; lead integration efforts with our GrowthStudio product and CRM systems; and maintain and deepen other strategic integrations
- Balance net new feature work and ticket-based work, partnering with development and quality assurance to triage, troubleshoot, and re-create tickets
- Mentor and support less experienced Product Owners, helping elevate standards, consistency, and best practices across the discipline
Requirements
- 5+ years of software product owner experience in an Agile environment, delivering complex multi-product or multi-platform initiatives
- Background in accounting, finance, or ERP systems, with the ability to understand financial processes, workflows, and enterprise analytics products
- Experience with AI in mature product offerings (e.g., predictive analytics, workflow automation, intelligent recommendations)
- Skilled in APIs, data integrations, and complex technical delivery projects; comfortable with technical architecture and mapping data flows, service interactions, and integration patterns
- Strong planning, execution, communication, visualization, and technical writing skills, with the ability to identify gaps, risks, and mitigation strategies
- Effective collaborator with internal and external stakeholders to collect and refine business, functional, and technical requirements
- Highly organized, accountable, and able to work under tight deadlines.
- Experience with JIRA and other Agile tools.
