About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide leadership for the University's web strategy, digital content initiatives, and online presence.
  • Oversee website strategy, content governance, SEO, accessibility, analytics, and digital platform integrations.
  • Collaborate with campus partners, Information Technology, and marketing partners to improve website functionality and performance.
  • Provide training and guidance to faculty, staff, and other campus stakeholders on web governance, accessibility, analytics, and digital content best practices.
  • Participate in meetings and training at the UMPI campus as required.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in web development, computer science, information technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in front-end web development and management using WordPress or similar content management systems.
  • Knowledge in WordPress, Kadence blocks, HTML, CSS, Adobe Creative Cloud, etc.
  • In-depth understanding of website information architecture, content priorities, accessibility standards, SEO, mobile-first design, and how to work within style guidelines.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • For remote work, a stable internet connection with download speeds of at least 25 Mbps is required and annual completion of a Remote Work Agreement is also required.
