About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as the primary point of contact for students from matriculation through graduation.
- Provide seamless, student-centered support across the entire enrollment and academic journey.
- Conduct proactive outreach, degree planning, and academic coaching to promote student persistence, retention, and success.
- Support students in navigating University policies and systems, connect them to resources.
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, and administrators across departments for personalized guidance.
- Conduct work in a collaborative environment with remote, hybrid, or in-person options.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree and 3–5 years of experience in a professional setting, such as advising, counseling, admissions, tutoring, education, or customer service.
- Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build rapport and motivate students.
- Proven organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to interpret and explain academic policies and degree requirements.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and communication technologies (e.g., Zoom).
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and FERPA compliance.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, student-centered environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing student needs.
- For remote/hybrid work: reliable high-speed internet (minimum 25 Mbps) and a dedicated, private workspace that meets confidentiality requirements.
