About the role

  • Provide support for the USM Disease Prevention Epidemiology (DP Epi) Team.
  • Manage a wide range of fiscal, operations, and project management activities of the DP Epi Team cooperative agreements and contracts.
  • Work closely with the DP Epi Leadership to ensure timely completion of project tasks and deliverables.
  • Contribute to building epidemiology capacity in chronic disease, maternal and child health, and substance use and injury.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree and five to seven years of experience managing projects or equivalent combination of higher education and experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large projects and budgets over $1 million with multiple funding streams.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative to identify and propose new tasks and procedures.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work on a variety of large and small teams with diverse groups of people.
  • Flexibility in meeting the varied needs of a large team.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
