About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Drive Digital Transformation: Lead the development and execution of a site-specific digitalization roadmap
- Simplify and Stabilize the IT Landscape: Establish a clear strategy for the local application ecosystem
- Enable Business Value through Technology: Collaborate with site stakeholders to build strong business cases for digital initiatives
- Ensure Operational Resilience and Compliance: Maintain robust IT governance, business continuity plans, and disaster recovery strategies
- Foster Cross-Site and Global Alignment: Actively participate in enterprise-wide forums and initiatives
Requirements
What you’ll need- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Industrial Automation, or a related field
- Solid knowledge of industrial IT systems (e.g., MES, LIMS, SCADA, Historian platforms like Aveva PI) and their integration with business systems (e.g., ERP)
- Experience in application lifecycle management, technical debt reduction, and system simplification
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, data analytics, and AI-based tools (e.g., Copilot, Power BI, Azure)
- Understanding of cybersecurity, compliance standards, and regulatory frameworks relevant to chemical industries (e.g., ISO, TISAX, NIS2)
- Excellent communication skills in Finnish and English
- High level of business acumen, critical thinking, and problem-solving, especially in operational and manufacturing contexts
