About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead, coach, and develop the Nysa procurement team to ensure strong performance, engagement, and capability building, fostering a collaborative and results-driven culture aligned with Umicore values
- Ensure effective execution and continuous improvement of procurement and warehousing processes, driving standardization, efficiency, and compliance with Indirect Materials Procurement Policy and Umicore Group Safety standards
- Ensure reliable supply and operational continuity by proactively identifying risks and implementing mitigation plans in close collaboration with stakeholders and suppliers
- Identify savings opportunities, support budget planning and tracking in alignment with site and functional objectives
- Act as a strong business partner by adapting and executing category strategies locally, ensuring alignment with business needs and global procurement direction
- Actively promote and embed a strong safety culture by ensuring full adherence to safety, environmental, quality, and energy management systems, including strict compliance by suppliers and procurement activities
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor or Masters in business or logistics
- Strong People Management experience
- Knowledge & experience in procurement is a plus
- Minimum 5-7 years experience in logistics and/or business
- Knowledge of basic HR and basic accounting is a plus
- Must be fluent in both oral and written English. Polish is a plus.
- Capable user of SAP systems - pref. ARIBA
- Integrity
