About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide hands-on mechanical and electrical maintenance support to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of plant equipment
- Responsible for troubleshooting, repair, preventive maintenance, and supporting capital and reliability improvement initiatives
- Perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs on plant equipment
- Complete assigned work orders safely and efficiently
- Execute preventive maintenance (PM) tasks to improve reliability and uptime
- Maintain and repair electrical systems, motors, control panels, and instrumentation
- Support installation and commissioning of new electrical systems and equipment
- Diagnose electrical faults and implement corrective actions
- Maintain pumps, valves, conveyors, rotating equipment, and mechanical systems
- Perform alignment, lubrication, and mechanical repairs
- Support compliance with Process Safety Management (PSM) requirements
- Participate in PHAs, HAZOPs, SOP development, and safety reviews
- Follow OSHA and site safety procedures at all times
- Identify and implement improvements to reduce downtime and improve performance
- Support capital projects, equipment upgrades, and process optimization
- Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and Contractors
- Support training and skill development across the maintenance team
- Foster teamwork and knowledge sharing across disciplines
Requirements
What you’ll need- Associate’s degree, technical certification (Electrical, Instrumentation, or Mechanical), OR equivalent experience
- 2–5 years of maintenance experience (mechanical, electrical, or both) required
- 5–10 years of industrial/plant experience preferred
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills (rotating equipment, piping, valves)
- Working knowledge of electrical systems, controls, and instrumentation
- Experience with preventive maintenance systems and work order management
- Familiarity with SAP or similar systems preferred
