About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform import, customs entry and export routines, issuing documentation related to the processes.
  • Monitor processes to ensure customs clearance and provide reliable information to meet legal requirements.
  • Contact regulatory agencies, carriers, insurers, clients and foreign suppliers to follow up on outcomes and ensure compliance with established deadlines.
  • Select the most appropriate mode of transport for each shipment from the catalogue of pre-approved suppliers, identifying the client’s needs and adapting to internal procedures to meet negotiated deadlines and achieve the best cost, while complying with national and international transport regulations.
  • Communicate with foreign suppliers to maintain the importer/exporter registry.
  • Assist in preparing purchase, sales and financing contracts; support currency quotation routines.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics or related fields.
  • Intermediate English (B1).
  • Experience with foreign trade operations.
  • Basic knowledge of customs legislation and ICMS (state VAT) as applied to the Manaus Free Trade Zone (ZFM).
  • Knowledge of SISCOMEX.
