About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform import, customs entry and export routines, issuing documentation related to the processes.
- Monitor processes to ensure customs clearance and provide reliable information to meet legal requirements.
- Contact regulatory agencies, carriers, insurers, clients and foreign suppliers to follow up on outcomes and ensure compliance with established deadlines.
- Select the most appropriate mode of transport for each shipment from the catalogue of pre-approved suppliers, identifying the client’s needs and adapting to internal procedures to meet negotiated deadlines and achieve the best cost, while complying with national and international transport regulations.
- Communicate with foreign suppliers to maintain the importer/exporter registry.
- Assist in preparing purchase, sales and financing contracts; support currency quotation routines.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics or related fields.
- Intermediate English (B1).
- Experience with foreign trade operations.
- Basic knowledge of customs legislation and ICMS (state VAT) as applied to the Manaus Free Trade Zone (ZFM).
- Knowledge of SISCOMEX.
