About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support for the regional legal team for Europe and Africa (with a focus on Central and Eastern Europe)
- Advising, drafting and assisting in the negotiation of confidentiality agreements and promoting the use of group templates of the Umicore group
- Contract management based on Umicore's globally used contract database (coordination of regional access rights, user training, ensuring data quality, etc.)
- Assistance with corporate law matters
- Supporting our in-house lawyers in their day-to-day work, including advising, drafting and negotiating contracts with external partners and providing administrative support as needed
- Preparing analyses and reports on request
- Administrative support in projects
Requirements
What you’ll need- Completed legal education (e.g., as a business lawyer, lawyer with a first state examination or comparable qualification)
- Several years of relevant professional experience, e.g., in a law or notary firm (also as a project lawyer), a public authority or a company's legal department
- Knowledge of contract law and, where applicable, corporate law
- Fluent English and German, both written and spoken
- Good computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) as well as legal software, databases and tools
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills, quality-oriented and detail-focused
- Team player who enjoys sharing knowledge but can also work independently and take responsibility
