About the role
- UMGC seeks adjunct faculty to teach in the Artificial Intelligence, Master of Science program remotely.
- Adjunct faculty actively engage students through frequent interaction to motivate their learning.
- Guide students in active collaboration and project-based learning demonstrations.
- Provide rich and regular constructive feedback using rubrics to assess student work.
- Demonstrate current subject-matter expertise and help students connect concepts across the program.
- Provide feedback to the program chair on possible curricular improvements.
- Two-week online new faculty orientation, FacDev 411, is required for hire.
- The Data Science program at UMGC; Please visit Artificial Intelligence Foundations Online Certificate | UMGC to learn more about this program, including its description, outcomes, and coursework.
- Each new faculty member is required to successfully complete our online two-week new faculty orientation, FacDev 411, as a condition of hire.
- All submissions should include a cover letter and resume.
Requirements
- Terminal degree in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Data Analytics, or related field from an accredited institution of higher learning.
- Experience teaching within online higher education settings.
- 3-5 years of professional experience in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, and Data Analytics
