About the role

  • UMGC seeks adjunct faculty to teach in the Artificial Intelligence, Master of Science program remotely.
  • Adjunct faculty actively engage students through frequent interaction to motivate their learning.
  • Guide students in active collaboration and project-based learning demonstrations.
  • Provide rich and regular constructive feedback using rubrics to assess student work.
  • Demonstrate current subject-matter expertise and help students connect concepts across the program.
  • Provide feedback to the program chair on possible curricular improvements.
  • Two-week online new faculty orientation, FacDev 411, is required for hire.
  • The Data Science program at UMGC; Please visit Artificial Intelligence Foundations Online Certificate | UMGC to learn more about this program, including its description, outcomes, and coursework.
  • Each new faculty member is required to successfully complete our online two-week new faculty orientation, FacDev 411, as a condition of hire.
  • All submissions should include a cover letter and resume.

Requirements

  • Terminal degree in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Data Analytics, or related field from an accredited institution of higher learning.
  • Experience teaching within online higher education settings.
  • 3-5 years of professional experience in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, and Data Analytics
