About the role
- Draft and edit content for news stories, emails, newsletters, and social media, ensuring alignment with UMGC’s brand voice and communications goals.
- Digital Media Production and Platform Management: Design and produce digital assets using Canva; work with the Social Media team to schedule and publish content via Sprout Social; support basic web updates using Adobe Experience Manager (AEM); and perform basic photo and video editing to enhance visual storytelling.
- Campaign Coordination and Execution: Maintain content calendars, support cross-channel campaign execution, and assist with community engagement and performance monitoring.
Requirements
- Excellent writing and editing skills with strong attention to detail.
- Experience developing content for news, email, and social media platforms.
- Proficiency in Canva or similar design tools.
- Familiarity with Sprout Social or comparable social media scheduling and analytics tools.
- Basic working knowledge of Adobe Experience Manager (AEM).
- Ability to perform basic photo and video editing.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks independently.
