About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Ask personalized questions to understand customers’ financial goals and connect them with suitable solutions
  • Create and manage a loan pipeline, focusing on prospecting and cross-selling home equity loans, unsecured personal loans, auto loans, and mortgage referrals
  • Source consumer lending opportunities through networking, customer conversations, business development, and proactive sourcing
  • Perform transactions, manage a cash drawer, and complete bank documentation according to industry and legal standards
  • Challenge daily key performance metrics while balancing priorities and providing a strong customer experience
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • HS Diploma or equivalent
  • Two years of retail banking sales experience or other relevant experience
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to work branch hours, including weekends and some evenings
  • Ability to obtain NMLS registration within 90 days
  • Ability to learn products, services, and procedures quickly and accurately
  • Basic math skills and problem-solving ability within established risk parameters/tolerances
  • Ability to build personal connections, engage and educate customers, ask open-ended questions, and listen to establish trust
  • Strong business development capabilities, including campaign offers, prospecting leads, service-to-sales conversations, and referral generation
  • Ability to thrive in a high-energy, sales-driven team and use coaching and feedback
  • Expert product knowledge and conversation skills
  • Compelling communication and positive professional image
  • Attention to detail when completing documents or explaining features and benefits
  • Ability to coach others as a sales mentor
  • College degree or military equivalent strongly preferred
  • Bilingual ability is a bonus
