About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Properly performs all CT scan examinations appropriate to the age of the patient in inpatient and/or outpatient settings
  • Gathers pertinent clinical data and maintains accurate patient records
  • Accurately completes all records, paperwork and billings and submits promptly
  • Positions and transfers patients appropriately and assists physicians with interventional exams
  • Completes exams promptly and properly, performing QC on images and appropriately sending exams to PACS for review
  • Assists in maintaining an orderly inventory and arranging the purchase of needed supplies
  • Assists with other job-related duties including urgent exam requests and scheduling
  • Under the direction of a Radiologist or Emergency Room Physician, performs CT exams using contrast media according to department policies
  • Establishes IV access for contrast injection according to department policies
  • Travels between Marlborough and Nashoba/Groton as scheduled to provide operational, administrative, or departmental support

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Graduate of an accredited radiological program
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) or NMTCB certified in diagnostic CT
  • Licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide quality patient care with minimal supervision in a fast-paced setting, collaborating with peers to produce optimum results
  • Verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with patients and families.
