About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Handles incoming phone calls from patients, families and referring providers to schedule patient appointments
Makes outbound phone calls to patients to schedule appointments with specialists and subspecialists
Secures the information needed to facilitate the financial aspects of medical care including patient demographics and insurance information
Processes updates and corrections to patient insurance and demographic information
Collects patient liabilities prior to or on the date of service, as appropriate
Schedules in office procedures like biopsies, ensuring necessary medical information is available for providers

Requirements

What you’ll need

High school diploma
Associate’s degree in business or healthcare-related field (preferred)
English speaking, reading and writing skills
Strong intrapersonal and communication skills
Previous scheduling and/or phone customer services experience (preferred)
Previous experience in a health care organization (preferred)
Bilingual speaking, reading, and writing skills (preferred)
