About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Ultra Mission Solutions is hiring early-career Software Engineers to join the Mission Software team under the mentorship of one of our Solutions Architects, supporting high-demand programs and mission application development.
  • This is a pipeline role designed to develop the next generation of Solutions Architects.
  • In this role, you will work directly with a senior Solutions Architect to build up your engineering capabilities, leveraging modern AI tools to force-multiply the team’s impact and accelerate delivery for high-demand programs.
  • You will take on progressively challenging work as you develop, with a clear growth path toward a Solutions Architect track.
  • We are seeking ambitious, innovative, and curious engineers ready to learn fast and contribute quickly.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related STEM discipline (or equivalent experience)
  • 0–3 years of software engineering experience (recent graduates encouraged to apply)
  • Solid foundation in software development fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, version control)
  • Curiosity, ambition, and a strong drive to learn
  • Must be able to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance; active clearance preferred
  • U.S. Citizenship required
