About the role
- Leads the design and implementation of automated payroll and attendance systems.
- Ensures system compliance with pay policies and government regulations.
- Prepares, documents, distributes and reconciles payroll accurately and timely every cycle.
- Reviews the computation of pay and associated deductions for accuracy.
- May prepare or oversee required tax filings and other reporting.
- Responds to and resolves inquiries regarding paychecks or payroll reporting.
- Ensures payroll issues are escalated and resolved promptly.
Requirements
- Typically, an Associate Degree (or equivalent) and 4+ years of related experience.
- Must be eligible to obtain the relevant security clearance required for the role.
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of government legislation affecting payroll; understands and follows applicable provisions.
