About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Oversee all Power Lifeline Sector contracts
  • Leads and manages workflow of all contract stages
  • Reviews, revises, drafts, negotiates, and closes commercial contracts
  • Provide strategic, business-oriented contract advice to internal stakeholders
  • Monitor and manage the contracts database
  • Serve as the primary business liaison for contract negotiations
  • Perform appropriate legal and operational research
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Legal, Finance, Accounting, Sales, and Technical teams
  • Develop and implement Power Lifeline Sector contract standards
  • Monitor contract performance and compliance
  • Recommend and implement process improvements
  • Ensure effective reporting and data tracking
  • Partner with internal and/or external counsel to resolve disputes
  • Create and lead training initiatives for leadership and execution team members
  • Foster strong relationships with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders
  • May include supervision and management for team of Contract Analysts and Contract Specialists

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 8+ years of experience in contract negotiation, drafting, and governance
  • Extensive knowledge of the Power industry, particularly in engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contracts
  • Bachelor’s degree (Legal, Business, Finance, or Engineering) required
  • JD or MBA preferred
  • NCMA certification a plus
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Proven negotiation expertise
  • Highly detail-oriented, organized, and analytical
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage high contract volumes
