About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee all Power Lifeline Sector contracts
- Leads and manages workflow of all contract stages
- Reviews, revises, drafts, negotiates, and closes commercial contracts
- Provide strategic, business-oriented contract advice to internal stakeholders
- Monitor and manage the contracts database
- Serve as the primary business liaison for contract negotiations
- Perform appropriate legal and operational research
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Legal, Finance, Accounting, Sales, and Technical teams
- Develop and implement Power Lifeline Sector contract standards
- Monitor contract performance and compliance
- Recommend and implement process improvements
- Ensure effective reporting and data tracking
- Partner with internal and/or external counsel to resolve disputes
- Create and lead training initiatives for leadership and execution team members
- Foster strong relationships with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders
- May include supervision and management for team of Contract Analysts and Contract Specialists
Requirements
What you’ll need- 8+ years of experience in contract negotiation, drafting, and governance
- Extensive knowledge of the Power industry, particularly in engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contracts
- Bachelor’s degree (Legal, Business, Finance, or Engineering) required
- JD or MBA preferred
- NCMA certification a plus
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Proven negotiation expertise
- Highly detail-oriented, organized, and analytical
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage high contract volumes
