Graduate Engineer – Civil
UlteigEngineer-in-Training focusing on Civil/Structural Engineering for transportation-related projects like bridges. Involves field investigations, inspections, and design tasks with a collaborative team.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Work on bridge/structural projects
- Perform field investigations and NBIS bridge inspections
- Prepare structural design calculations and perform load ratings based on as-built plans and field observations
- Assist with the development of design drawings
- Prepare quantities and cost estimates
- Assist with providing practical rehabilitation recommendations based on observed conditions
- Work closely with engineering technicians and experienced engineers
- Participate in community and professional development activities
- Travel approximately one week per month
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering
- EIT or ability to attain within 6 months preferred
- Knowledge of AASHTO, AISC, and ACI codes preferred
- Experience on DOT projects preferred
- Experience using MathCAD, RISA, or equivalent, foundation design programs, and/or other structural modeling software preferred
- Proven experience in Microsoft Software Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Basic understanding of AutoCAD and/or MicroStation is preferred
- Must have authorization to work permanently in the U.S.
