About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Create SCADA point lists, remote terminal unit (RTU) programs, human-machine interfaces (HMI’s)
Program, install, troubleshoot, test, and commission Remote Terminal Units (RTU’s), Programmable Automation Controllers (PAC’s) & Human Machine Interfaces (HMI’s) for renewable and power utility clients
Develop complete design packages for site network and SCADA communication architectures compliant with client and regulatory requirements
Maintains positive client relationships, responsive both internally and externally, very frequent client interaction
Typically perform work with the following technologies and platforms: Remote Terminal Unit: SEL-RTAC, Novatech OrionLX+ HMI: Web-based GUI’s (Inkscape, SEL Diagram Builder). Ignition is a plus
Troubleshooting: Putty, Wireshark, SEL-Quickset

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required.
ABET-accredited program or equivalent required
Professional Engineering (PE) license required
7-9+ years of relevant experience is required
Demonstrates proficiency and working knowledge of communication protocols (DNP3, Modbus, etc.) and internet network architectures.
Network design experience and implementation, networking/IT certifications like Cisco Certified Network Associate a plus
Microsoft Software Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
