About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and maintain systems to track and administer social science research
  • Facilitate regular team and project meetings

  • Support data management processes and systems
  • Assist with budget planning and tracking
  • Monitor project expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Arrange compensation for research participants
  • Process vendor invoices
  • Plan research convenings and organize vendors, rentals, and meals
  • Track conference and publication deadlines and submissions
  • Support grant writing and grant administration
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree and/or demonstrated interest in social science, including education research and learning sciences
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in project coordination, project management, or research
  • Understanding of ethical and pragmatic requirements for applied social science research, particularly human subjects data
  • Organization and sensitivity to the human needs of colleagues and collaborators
  • Ability to independently identify project needs, formulate objectives, plan, and execute tasks
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Collegial and professional communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Capacity to adapt to changing project requirements
  • Ability to work steadily on multiple projects while maintaining focus on broader goals
  • Experience or demonstrated interest in project management
  • Ability to travel to conferences, team meetings, and research convenings as needed
