About the role
- Develop and implement library strategies and programs supporting open science, scholarly communication, and evolving information technologies
- Lead daily operations, supervise staff and interns, and foster professional growth
- Direct acquisition, stewardship, and vendor negotiation for electronic resources
- Partner with researchers, leadership, and stakeholders on publication strategies, research impact metrics, and grant support
- Drive digital transformation by adopting and integrating scalable systems (e.g., EDS, Stacks, SharePoint, LibGuides)
- Advance research analytics by designing and delivering bibliometrics and impact assessments using tools like Scopus/SciVal and Dimensions
- Oversee development and outreach for institutional services such as the ULRI Digital Repository and ORCID integration
- Champion inclusive practices in service design, delivery, and resource access
- Represent ULRI through presentations, conferences, and internal seminars
- Mentor staff and pursue ongoing professional development in AI, data visualization, and emerging technologies
Requirements
- Master’s degree in library and information science, or equivalent, from an American Library Association accredited program
- Experience in library services with focus on access to data, knowledge, and technical information
- Familiarity with systems such as EBSCO Stacks/EDS, ExLibris Alma, and Figshare
- Proficiency with AI tools in research and scholarly communications preferred
- Expertise in bibliometrics, research analytics, scholarly communication, and digital infrastructure
- Strong leadership skills and experience managing teams, supervising staff and interns
- Data-informed decision-making skills and ability to measure impact
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Strong project management and organizational skills
