About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own the project plan and recurring cadence for the Marketing budget cycle, including planning, tracking, and reporting milestones against time, scope, and budget constraints.
  • Coordinate inputs from Marketing, Finance, and Procurement stakeholders and drive deadlines and dependencies.
  • Identify and proactively manage risks, dependencies, and changes to scope, schedule, or budget.
  • Maintain project documentation, status reporting, and budget cycle artifacts.
  • Surface blockers and drive them to resolution.
  • Manage the Marketing budget across planning, tracking, reconciliation, and reporting cycles.
  • Partner with Finance and FP&A on quarter close, accruals, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Maintain strategic budget reporting for Marketing leadership.
  • Steward Marketing’s activity-level budget tracking application, including configuration, bug triage, anomaly flagging, and usage compliance.
  • Manage budget holdback tracking, investment triage, and budget transfer workflows.
  • Assist with vendor and procurement workflows.
  • Support annual planning, quarterly reviews, and leadership operating cadences.
  • Coordinate cross-functional initiatives supporting Business Operations priorities.
  • Partner with Marketing leaders, FP&A, Procurement, IT, and other functional teams.
  • Translate operational detail into executive-level updates for Marketing leadership.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 4 or more years of professional experience in business operations, marketing operations, finance operations, program management, or a similar operational role.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting budget management, financial planning, or finance partnership in a corporate setting.
  • Ability to apply structure and systems in an ambiguous environment while balancing direction with independent execution.
  • Experience producing professional updates, reports, and readouts for senior stakeholders.
  • Regular demonstrated use of AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot, or similar.
  • Comfort using AI tools for drafting, summarizing, automating, and synthesizing information.
  • Proficiency with collaboration tools such as Slack, Microsoft 365, and Confluence.
  • Proficiency with project tools such as ClickUp, Jira, Asana, or similar.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with senior stakeholders across Marketing, Finance, and Procurement.
  • Ability to work independently and partner across business functions.
  • Strong analytical reasoning, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
  • Preferred: experience in B2B SaaS or technology marketing organizations.
  • Preferred: familiarity with marketing functions including demand generation, product marketing, customer marketing, and brand.
  • Preferred: experience partnering with FP&A teams, supporting budget owners, or working in business operations.
  • Preferred: familiarity with procurement processes and vendor management workflows.
