About the role
- Collaborate with intern group to solve business problem and present solutions to executive leadership
- Gain exposure to UFG’s leadership team through various networking events
- Participate in various development and social activities with interns from other business units
- Assist DevOps teams with project work and documentation
- Develop understanding of the basic functions in a property and casualty insurance company
- Learn and apply corporate standards, methodologies, compliance and testing practices
- Actively participate in a cross-functional team and contribute to meetings
Requirements
- Current student pursuing a degree in computer science, programming, or related field
- Knowledge of at least three areas: Scripting languages (PowerShell/Python/etc.…)
- Windows and Linux (RedHat/CentOS/etc.…)
- Operating Systems
- Process Automation Best Practices
- Information Security Best Practices
- Database Technologies
- Microsoft Application Administration
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
- Motivated self-starter
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Excellent analytical skills
- Creative and resourceful
- Ability to communicate clearly with project team
