About the role

  • Technical leadership of web platform projects with responsibility for architecture, quality and scalability
  • Proactive stakeholder management, bridging the gap between clients' business and technology areas and our implementation teams
  • Mentoring and conducting code reviews for frontend developers, promoting best practices and knowledge sharing within the team
  • Aligning with internal stakeholders and driving technical decisions, tooling and technology strategy
  • Designing and evolving scalable component architectures and clean code standards based on Astro, React or Vue and their respective meta-frameworks
  • Close collaboration with UX, backend and project management to translate requirements into sustainable technical solutions
  • Integration of enterprise-grade headless and traditional (headful) CMS solutions (e.g., Storyblok, Contentful, FirstSpirit, Sitecore), typically involving integration with multiple third-party systems

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in frontend development, including 2+ years leading a development team
  • Strong leadership skills to drive technology decisions and lead a development team
  • Ability to communicate complex technical topics clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • High sense of ownership, quality awareness, and structured, solution-oriented thinking
  • Strong knowledge of TypeScript and at least one of the frameworks Astro, React or Vue
  • Familiarity with modern build tools and CI/CD pipelines (Vite, Webpack, GitHub Actions, etc.)
  • Experience in frontend performance optimization and monitoring (Core Web Vitals, profiling)
  • Deep understanding of UX principles, responsive design and accessibility standards
  • Experience with frontend testing strategies and quality assurance
  • Very good written and spoken German or English skills
