About the role
- Mentor teenagers of Egypt entering the world of tech through Udacity's Data Analytics Foundations Nanodegree
- Deliver and lead weekly virtual/group sessions, activities, and short lectures
- Provide world-class technical support to learners and respond to technical questions
- Check in with students to make sure they are making progress and provide mentorship
- Use creative, innovative approaches for knowledge transfer to a younger group of students
- Proactively support students' empathy and simplified clear terminology
- Participate in a long-term blended-learning upskilling program as an external contractor
Requirements
- The passion, patience, energy, and empathy to interact with young students and get them excited about their future in tech
- Experience teaching technical concepts and public speaking
- Strong interpersonal skills and confidence to lead a group of young students
- Student-oriented mindset and focus on understanding their problems
- Existing tech network and experience in technical conversations & discussions
- Flexibility at their current job to take this challenge as a part-time, external contractor
- Flexibility to provide sessions over the weekend
- A positive personality who can build trust and confidence among the students
- Resident of Egypt
- Proficiency in English and Arabic (spoken and written)
- Experience programming in Python including Numpy, and Pandas
- Experience with tools like Anaconda, and Jupyter Notebooks
- Experience with Data Wrangling
- Knowledge of supervised learning, Unsupervised learning, neural network
- Able to help students understand how to use Git & GitHub
- Experience with Probability, Distributions, and Data Visualization, Statistical Experiments and A/B Testing
