Account Manager

• Build and maintain strong customer relationships to understand their transportation needs and provide effective solutions.
• Develop and implement strategies to maximize revenue and profitability for assigned accounts.
• Source and secure freight from customers utilizing creative methods including but not limited to: Internet searches, Past Contacts, Website leads, and Business Development leads.
• Monitor shipment progress by tracking and tracing freight to ensure timely delivery and troubleshoot issues.
• Work with carriers to negotiate rates, ensure compliance with regulations, and manage necessary paperwork.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing any customer or carrier concerns or questions.
• Ensure that all necessary documentation, such as bills of lading and invoices, is completed accurately and on time.
• Analyze market trends and industry changes to identify potential areas for improvement and cost savings.
• Develop and maintain relationships with industry professionals to stay up to date on industry trends and best practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
