About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Manage the day-to-day execution of shipments within a Transportation Management System (TMS)
Ensure all loads are planned, executed, and delivered on time
Monitor shipments and proactively resolve issues such as delays, errors, or carrier challenges
Communicate with shipping sites, carriers, and internal teams to provide updates and resolve issues
Manage a high volume of emails and system updates while prioritizing urgent requests
Troubleshoot shipment issues across multiple transportation modes, including Truckload (TL), Less-Than-Truckload (LTL), rail, bulk, and specialized freight, escalating when needed
Support continuous improvement by identifying process gaps and recommending solutions
Maintain accurate shipment, rate, and operational data within systems
Assist with resolving billing or invoice discrepancies

Requirements

What you’ll need

High school diploma or GED equivalent
1+ year of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain
Ability to manage multiple tasks across systems (email, TMS, etc.)
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field (preferred)
2+ year of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain (preferred)
Experience using a Transportation Management System (TMS) (preferred)
Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets (preferred)
Experience supporting gas, chemical, bulk, rail, or hazardous material transportation operations preferred.
