About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage the day-to-day execution of shipments within a Transportation Management System (TMS)
  • Ensure all loads are planned, executed, and delivered on time
  • Monitor shipments and proactively resolve issues such as delays, errors, or carrier challenges
  • Communicate with shipping sites, carriers, and internal teams to provide updates and resolve issues
  • Manage a high volume of emails and system updates while prioritizing urgent requests
  • Troubleshoot shipment issues across multiple transportation modes, including Truckload (TL), Less-Than-Truckload (LTL), rail, bulk, and specialized freight, escalating when needed
  • Support continuous improvement by identifying process gaps and recommending solutions
  • Maintain accurate shipment, rate, and operational data within systems
  • Assist with resolving billing or invoice discrepancies

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • 1+ year of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks across systems (email, TMS, etc.)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace
  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field (preferred)
  • 2+ year of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain (preferred)
  • Experience using a Transportation Management System (TMS) (preferred)
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets (preferred)
  • Experience supporting gas, chemical, bulk, rail, or hazardous material transportation operations preferred.
