About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage the day-to-day execution of shipments within a Transportation Management System (TMS)
- Ensure all loads are planned, executed, and delivered on time
- Monitor shipments and proactively resolve issues such as delays, errors, or carrier challenges
- Communicate with shipping sites, carriers, and internal teams to provide updates and resolve issues
- Manage a high volume of emails and system updates while prioritizing urgent requests
- Troubleshoot shipment issues across multiple transportation modes, including Truckload (TL), Less-Than-Truckload (LTL), rail, bulk, and specialized freight, escalating when needed
- Support continuous improvement by identifying process gaps and recommending solutions
- Maintain accurate shipment, rate, and operational data within systems
- Assist with resolving billing or invoice discrepancies
Requirements
What you’ll need- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 1+ year of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain
- Ability to manage multiple tasks across systems (email, TMS, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field (preferred)
- 2+ year of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain (preferred)
- Experience using a Transportation Management System (TMS) (preferred)
- Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets (preferred)
- Experience supporting gas, chemical, bulk, rail, or hazardous material transportation operations preferred.
