About the role

  • Promote and drive the UBEC Pastoral Guidelines and implement the Pastoral Plan to ensure they are understood, matured and practiced by the entire educational community, making pastoral ministry effective throughout the institution.
  • Support the organization and coordination of initiatives, projects and activities included in the UBEC group's Pastoral Planning.
  • Develop joint actions with pedagogical and administrative areas to help ensure human, ethical and Christian values are lived out, thereby building a culture of pastoral ministry across the educational community.
  • Provide advisory support to mission units on pastoral matters through institutional workflows, aiming to provide clarification, resolve issues and meet deadlines.
  • Prepare projects and supporting materials related to pastoral ministry to contribute to the ongoing formation of the educational community present in the Mission Unit.
  • Oversee the preparation of materials used in events, celebrations, projects and pastoral activities.
  • Advise in meetings related to the Sector and contribute to preparing the sector's budget forecast in accordance with management guidelines.
  • Contribute to the organization of liturgical celebrations, spiritual moments, and offer pastoral care and counseling to individuals.
  • Facilitate trainings, reflections and other events, acting with technical skill and proficiency to promote and value life in all institutional activities.
  • Assist with the management and organization of the Sector’s collection of books, documents and materials, handling tasks that require higher technical skill and greater complexity.
  • Perform other duties of the same nature and level of complexity related to the organizational environment.

Requirements

  • Education/Training: Bachelor's degree completed in Theology, Pedagogy, Philosophy, Psychology, History, Social Work, Sociology or related fields.
  • Postgraduate studies (lato sensu and/or stricto sensu) are desirable.
