About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead end-to-end delivery of Microsoft 365 projects, initially focused on large-scale SharePoint Classic to Modern migration
  • Develop and manage project plans, milestones, dependencies, risks and issues across multiple workstreams
  • Coordinate discovery, rationalisation, content remediation, testing, cutover and post-migration support
  • Work with technical, business change and adoption teams to embed new solutions successfully
  • Manage internal teams, third-party suppliers and service providers against agreed deliverables and commitments
  • Engage senior, technical and non-technical stakeholders and provide clear reporting on progress, risks and delivery outcomes
  • Ensure projects meet governance, security, quality and user requirements

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum five years' experience delivering Microsoft 365 projects or programmes within large organisations, ideally supporting 5,000+ users
  • Proven experience leading large-scale SharePoint Online migrations from Classic to Modern experiences
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, including SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive and Exchange Online
  • Experience developing migration strategies and managing content remediation, testing, cutover and post-migration activities
  • Good understanding of SharePoint governance, information architecture, permissions and site lifecycle management
  • Experience managing organisational change and user adoption within complex environments
  • Strong project leadership, stakeholder management, planning and problem-solving skills
  • Relevant project management certification such as PRINCE2 Practitioner, PMP, APM PMQ or equivalent
  • Desirable: SharePoint rationalisation, content clean-up and information management experience
  • Desirable: ShareGate, Microsoft migration tooling or similar technologies
  • Desirable: Microsoft 365 collaboration, intranet, document management or digital workplace programme experience
  • Desirable: Public sector experience
  • Desirable: Familiarity with government digital, security and accessibility standards
