About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build and maintain scalable, secure and automated CI/CD pipelines using GitLab or GitHub
  • Manage infrastructure-as-code solutions using Terraform to support repeatable and compliant environments
  • Implement automation across build, test and deployment workflows to ensure consistent and reliable delivery
  • Apply OWASP security principles and DevSecOps practices throughout the delivery lifecycle
  • Deploy and maintain containerised workloads using Kubernetes or AWS-native services such as ECS or EKS
  • Monitor infrastructure performance and availability, implementing proactive alerting and logging solutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed DevOps capabilities and drive continuous improvement
  • Support troubleshooting of infrastructure and deployment-related issues in production and non-production environments

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Active Security Check (SC) clearance is mandatory
  • Strong hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), including core compute, networking and security services
  • Proficiency in GitLab or GitHub for version control and pipeline management
  • Demonstrable experience with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code delivery
  • Deep understanding of Kubernetes architecture and operations in cloud environments
  • Working knowledge of OWASP security principles and how to apply them in CI/CD and infrastructure design
  • Competence in scripting languages such as Python, Bash or PowerShell
  • Experience operating within Agile delivery environments and supporting multidisciplinary technical teams
  • **Desirable:**
  • AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional or Solutions Architect)
  • Experience working with public sector clients or within regulated industries
