Manager

• Partner with the CEO to cultivate and grow a strong portfolio of private and institutional funders.
• Serve as a trusted execution partner to the CEO and senior leadership to translate ideas into action.
• Help craft compelling concept notes and proposals for support that reflect USDR’s unique value and potential impact.
• Collaborate closely with the CEO to prospect and cultivate potential funders to help grow USDR’s impact.
• Build long-term relationships with program officers and senior decision-makers aligned with USDR’s mission and vision.
• Drive grants through the pipeline, from prospecting, to relationship building, to proposals, to closing.
• Identify and qualify new funding opportunities through energetic and proactive outreach, market research, and networking.
• Represent the CEO in funder meetings or ecosystem convenings where needed (with expected travel of once per quarter).
• Work closely with the CEO to refresh and operationalize USDR’s fundraising and development strategy.
• Create sustainable infrastructure for USDR’s fundraising and development function, from concept note development to prospecting and cultivation processes to leading grant reporting and storytelling efforts.
