About the role

  • Qualify all sales leads and prospecting efforts to pursue potential new customers for Brink’s services, including assessing potential risk and exposure to the company.
  • Expand market share where Brink’s does not have a strong presence; develop relationships through networking with a focus on India.
  • Respond to RFPs and bid requests adhering to Solution Selling principles.
  • Establish and maintain multi-level business relationships with executive and senior level management with respect to customer accounts.
  • Develop new contacts in other areas of customer accounts where additional services can be utilized and outsourced to Brink’s.
  • Manage all aspects of contract maintenance and renewal based on the terms of the agreements; improve the terms of agreement to meet specific Brink’s needs when renewing contracts, particularly when profitability can favorably be impacted.
  • Assure that rate increases are administered in a timely and professional manner.
  • Respond to and resolve customer service and problem situations as needed by providing exemplary customer service to all new and existing customers.
  • Follow up on accounts receivable, “past due” situations when requested by management.
  • Communicate market developments and trends that will assist in determining marketing strategy for the area, region and US operations.
  • Report competitor situations and activities to the General Manager and branch managers who could be impacted by these events.
  • Assist other departments as directed by Senior Management (ie: Trade Shows, Other Branches etc).
  • Properly fill out paperwork and administrative forms that are required to initiate service for customers.
  • Cross-train and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three (3) years of outside sales experience with demonstrated success growing business in emerging markets
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience managing a large pipeline of prospective customers and providing business development solutions where none before existed
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience meeting or exceeding business goals including revenue targets
  • Intermediate to Expert level skills in all areas of Microsoft Office
  • Must be 21 years of age
  • 50% travel required
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in international sales of goods, freight forwarding
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Business
  • Strong business acumen and demonstrated success working with multiple internal and external clients
  • Experience in airside/ shipping operations is a plus
  • Experience in import/ export operations and customs is a plus
  • Excellent track-record in developing profitable and successful operations
