About the role
- Develop and evaluate (PHM) Program Plans and requirements for aircraft and support systems
- Perform PHM analyses, predictions, allocations, and calculate metrics
- Evaluate Fault Detection, Fault Isolation, and perform Testability Analyses
- Monitor the development of the Health Management System to ensure that the design meets the requirements
- Attend and support BIT Review Board (BRB) and software/hardware design improvement meetings
- Review engineering and design integration of Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) for PHM considerations
- Determine key PHM metrics, identify problem areas, and assist in developing design modifications and ECPs
- Support the design, development, and performance of Integrated Health Management System (IHMS)/Built-In-Test (BIT) processes
- Review deliverables from Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and supplier related to health management system
- Collect On-Board and Off-Board PHM data to evaluate and populate FRACAS databases
- Generate various reports outlining findings and recommendations
- Aid in the development of an organic sustainment solution for health management
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, mathematics, aeronautics, or electronics
- 5+ years of experience as an engineer or relevant PHM experience
- Experience testing/evaluating health management systems
- Experience with the NAVAIR acquisition process
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Ability to use Microsoft 365 to include Excel, Word, Access, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Ability to travel as necessary (estimated 6 trips per year)
