About the role
- Manage banking relationships with U.S. Bancorp Impact Finance clients specializing in affordable housing and community development
- Prospect for new business and expand existing customer relationships to grow revenue
- Source, structure and negotiate loans on multifamily housing projects, including LIHTC transactions
- Connect clients with internal product partners for deposit, payments, trust, wealth management
- Lead relationship reviews and coordinate with internal teams including Credit, Project Management, and Asset Management
- Evaluate and determine the creditworthiness of new business opportunities
- Implement calling and prospecting programs for customer acquisition and retention
- Manage overall customer and portfolio profitability and help implement loan policies and services
- Ensure compliance with Code of Ethics, AML, Bank Secrecy Act, information security and suspicious activity reporting requirements
Requirements
- Master's degree, or equivalent work experience
- 10 or more years of commercial lending experience
- Strong relationship management and business development/sales skills
- Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills
- Considerable knowledge of credit and credit quality
- Thorough knowledge of Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC)
- Thorough knowledge of bank products and services
- Ability to work effectively with individuals and groups in managing customer relationships
- Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills
- Previous small business banking experience
