About the role

  • The Partner Relationship Manager will lead strategic engagement and growth initiatives across the MSP and digital partner channels for the US & Canada
  • This role is responsible for building and managing relationships with external sellers, driving channel performance, and enabling sales success through education, sales enablement and operational support
  • Success hinges on the ability to build deep relationships
  • The role requires a confident, strategic professional who can influence all necessary parties, conceptualize strategies and execute them enabling partners to sell talech solutions
  • This includes Sales Leaders, Individual Merchant Processing Providers, Operational teams, Product teams, and more
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in partner/channel development, POS sales, and relationship management
  • They also need to understand the competitive landscape, can identify barriers to sales, adoption, activation and proactively drive sales performance across diverse geographies
  • A strong grasp of regional dynamics, especially the nuances between U.S. and Canadian markets, is essential
  • Partner Relationship management from within the POS and payments is required
  • Key Responsibilities Market Development & Partner Management
  • Develop and execute strategies to grow talech’s footprint across MSP, Digital, channels in North America
  • Build trust and influence with Merchant Service Providers, driving their commitment to actively sell talech solutions
  • Identify, onboard, and nurture high-performing external sales partners
  • Drive partner engagement through enablement programs, sales performance reviews, and strategic planning
  • Understand and address regional market dynamics—why certain areas (e.g., Canada) are selling or not—and tailor strategies accordingly
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align channel strategies with broader talech and U.S. Bank objectives
  • Analyze competitive positioning and leverage insights to differentiate talech in partner conversations
  • Sales Enablement & Relationship Management
  • Serve as the primary liaison between talech and external/internal sales teams
  • Deliver product education, sales tools, and enablement resources to drive adoption and activation
  • Conduct needs assessments and engagement meetings to support sales success
  • Monitor and report on channel performance metrics including attachment rates, account growth, and revenue
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to partners, helping them understand the value proposition and market opportunity
  • Represent talech with confidence and credibility in high-level discussions
  • Travel as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Typically six to eight years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated sales and marketing skills and abilities
  • Strong organizational and managerial skills
  • Ability to work independently and in teams
  • 6+ years of experience in sales support, channel development, or partner relationship management
  • Proven success in growing and managing external sales networks or reseller channels
  • Experience with SaaS product sales and SMB financial ecosystems
  • Strong familiarity with CRM and enablement tools (e.g., Salesforce, Service Cloud, Confluence, Power BI)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Analytical mindset with a focus on execution and performance metrics
  • Experience with POS solutions and SMB verticals (Retail, Restaurants, Services) is a plus
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach
  • Collaborative and engaging personality that fosters trust and enthusiasm
  • Comfortable navigating a fast-paced, evolving product environment
  • Skilled in escalation management and creative problem-solving
  • Experience with competitor POS and payments is a requirement
  • Experience managing large markets and partner relationships is required
