About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Secure trucks on lifts and ramps
Lubricate suspensions, perform oil changes, and replace minor parts
Perform tire and brake maintenance
Occasionally road-test vehicles
Use U-Haul Company’s proprietary technology to assess and care for field vehicles
Use a proprietary electronic pre-inspection checklist
Assist in additional areas as necessary, following supervisor directives and guidance
Work safely and remain alert during manual labor
Move frequently, stand, sit, and move beneath equipment

Requirements

What you’ll need

Basic mechanical aptitude and repair experience preferred
Driver’s license
Ability to work as part of a team and individually
Basic mechanical aptitude
Basic computer skills
Regular attendance
Ability to work safely and remain alert
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs., assisted or unassisted
Ability to move frequently, stand, sit, and move beneath equipment
May be required to use protective clothing or gear such as masks, safety shoes, goggles, gloves, or shields
