About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Secure trucks on lifts and ramps
- Lubricate suspensions, perform oil changes, and replace minor parts
- Perform tire and brake maintenance
- Occasionally road-test vehicles
- Use U-Haul’s proprietary electronic pre-inspection checklist
- Assess and care for field vehicles using U-Haul Company’s proprietary technology
- Lend assistance in additional areas as necessary, following supervisor directives and guidance
Requirements
What you’ll need- Basic mechanical aptitude
- Repair experience preferred
- Driver’s license
- Ability to work as part of a team and individually
- Basic computer skills
- Regular attendance
- Ability to perform manual labor safely and remain alert
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs., assisted or unassisted
- Ability to move frequently and work standing, sitting, and beneath equipment
- May be required to use protective clothing or gear such as masks, safety shoes, goggles, gloves, or shields
