About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Assist in facility maintenance of U-Haul Moving Centers, Storage Centers, and other U-Haul facilities within a geographical area
Perform general maintenance, installation, repair, and service
Perform nailing, sawing, cutting, painting, and basic facility maintenance
Clean up renovation sites
Complete work requests in a timely and professional manner
Assist skilled workers with duties when necessary
Participate in ongoing U-Haul education through U-Haul University

Requirements

What you’ll need

Valid driver’s license
Ability to maintain a good driving record to operate commercial motor vehicles
Adherence to local, state, and federal vehicular regulations while driving
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to work around moving parts, machines, fumes, or irritant chemicals with required safety precautions
Ability to use protective clothing or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves, or shields
Ability to stand, walk, bend, crouch, stoop, stretch, and reach for extended or recurring periods
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs assisted or unassisted
Ability to effectively use a variety of hand and power tools
Must not use nicotine products, consistent with applicable state law
