About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Secure trucks on lifts and ramps
- Perform tire and brake maintenance
- Mount, dismount, and balance tires
- Occasionally road test vehicles
- Work in a production line
- Use U-Haul Company’s proprietary technology and electronic pre-inspection checklist to assess and care for field vehicles
- Assist in additional areas as necessary under supervisor direction and guidance
- Work safely during manual-labor tasks and remain alert
Requirements
What you’ll need- Basic mechanical aptitude
- 1–2 years of repair experience preferred
- Driver’s license
- Ability to work as part of a team and individually
- Basic computer skills
- Regular attendance
- Ability to perform manual labor safely and remain alert
- Ability to use protective clothing or gear such as masks, safety shoes, goggles, gloves, or face shields
- Must not use nicotine products, consistent with applicable state law and U-Haul hiring policy
