About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Managing a team of direct reports who are remote and travel 3 weeks a month
- Developing a system plan, execute and report on results from visits to entities
- Each member of the travel staff will be responsible for keeping the developed system up to date
- Travel with an auction travel team member twice a month, a week at a time
- Coaching and learning
- Observing and recording findings about the economics of the markets
- Observing and recording finding about how related Fleet Sales policies are being used
- Goal setting and reporting on those goals
- Setting travel standards and expense guidelines
- Updating the Auction Visit Checklist as appropriate
- Developing training materials and presentations for visits to the auction
- Reporting weekly to management on progress towards goals
- Summarizing travel and travel expenditures
- Preparing and managing a department budget
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5-10 years in business administration or equivalent
- Automotive Industry heavily preferred
- Extensive U-Haul experience to include Repair Shop operations may be an acceptable substitute
- Travel away from home is required a week at a time, Monday through Friday, twice a month
- Good written and verbal skills; excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team environment
- Must be detail oriented and proficient in the use of basic Microsoft Office products
- Excellent attendance is critical
