About the role

  • Lead the design, coordination, and management of Mechanical systems for diverse building projects.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and client requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Manage project timelines, mentor junior engineers, and serve as a key technical lead.
  • Deliver the mechanical engineering consultancy process across all stages of the RIBA Plan of Work.
  • Develop coordinated, and efficient designs in collaboration with other engineering consultancy disciplines, clients and external project teams.
  • Represent the company on projects of various scales with periodic quality review by Associates or Directors.
  • Prepare detailed design drawings and keep abreast of project design developments.

Requirements

  • Degree in Mechanical engineering / Building Services Engineering / or other relevant design & engineering degree.
  • Professional Engineer (CEng or equivalent)
  • Technically competent: Building Regulations, CDM, British Standards, best practices on BSRIA and CIBSE guidance.
  • Desired knowledge of Healthcare Technical Memorandums, FPA/ LPC Sprinkler Rules, Heat Networks Technical Assurance Scheme (HNTAS) or capability to do develop.
  • Current experience with Bluebeam Review, Navisworks, REVIT, Microsoft Office suites.
  • Project Management experience desired.
  • Proven experience in leading engineering projects and teams.
