About the role
- Conduct thorough inspections of all falsework elements
- Ensure project specifications are executed accurately
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for project activities
- Provide written progress reports and technical insights
- Coordinate tasks and ensure a smooth workflow with contractors
- Manage project documentation and contract compliance
- Review contractor pay estimates and submittals
- Mentor and train field inspection and support staff
- Uphold and enforce construction safety rules
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management or closely-related field
- Master's preferred
- P.E. license or CCM credential required
- At least 15+ years of experience with complex bridge construction
- Minimum of two bridge projects with a construction value of $20 million
- Strong ability to write effective and concise reviews, comments, and reports
- Previous construction management experience for Caltrans projects is strongly preferred
