About the role

  • Provide senior-level technical leadership and project management for complex roadway and surface transportation projects
  • Oversee end-to-end delivery of major roadway projects, ensuring successful management of scope, schedule, budget, risk, and quality
  • Identify and pursue new transportation opportunities with various public-sector clients
  • Build relationships with public agencies, teaming partners, and stakeholders across the region
  • Partner with regional and sector leadership to align business development initiatives with broader transportation growth strategy
  • Lead and support proposals, interviews, and client presentations showcasing technical excellence
  • Mentor and develop junior and mid-level engineers and project managers

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required
  • Active California Professional Engineer (PE) license required or ability to obtain
  • 10+ years of experience delivering roadway and highway projects
  • Experience working with Caltrans, MTC, BATA, county transportation authorities, and Bay Area municipalities strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of Caltrans design standards, Highway Design Manual (HDM), Standard Plans and Specifications, and project development procedures
  • Experience with Design-Bid-Build and Design-Build delivery methods preferred
