About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Deliver process engineering design for water and wastewater treatment projects, tenders, and operational support activities.
- Develop treatment process solutions based on client requirements, technical constraints, and project objectives.
- Prepare process engineering deliverables including P&IDs, calculations, process flow diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Support projects from concept development through delivery, commissioning, optimisation, and fault finding.
- Review tender specifications, identify risks or non-compliances, and support performance guarantee assessments.
- Collaborate with project teams, clients, suppliers, and consulting engineers to achieve efficient and commercially sound outcomes.
- Contribute to continuous improvement, HAZOP activities, mentoring, and broader engineering and quality initiatives.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Process, Mechanical, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the water, wastewater, process, or mechanical design sector.
- Strong knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes, hydraulic calculations, P&IDs, and process flow development.
- Proven experience supporting process engineering across project delivery, tenders, and commissioning environments.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to identify technical risks, opportunities, and practical design solutions.
- Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary engineering and construction project teams.
