About the role
- Analyse financial, sales, and product performance data to provide insights on margins, profitability, and retailer performance.
- Support the finance team with reporting, variance analysis, and interpretation of financial results.
- Assist in understanding cost drivers across sourcing, production, and distribution activities.
- Prepare and maintain regular reports and data summaries for internal stakeholders.
- Partner with commercial, operations, and logistics teams to gain end-to-end visibility of product and business performance.
- Provide analytical support for new product launches, promotions, and customer performance reviews.
- Assist the logistics team with operational cover when required, particularly during peak periods or staff absences.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of data accuracy, reporting processes, and internal controls.
- Other duties and responsibilities as applicable.
Requirements
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in a relevant industry such as FMCG, food manufacturing, consumer goods, or distribution with exposure to financial and commercial analysis across global markets.
- Strong analytical capability with experience interpreting financial and sales data.
- Demonstrated advanced Excel skills; experience with BI, reporting, ERP (Netsuite preferred) systems is an advantage.
- Commercially focused, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Adaptable and hands-on, comfortable supporting multiple functions in a small team environment where responsibilities are broad and evolve over time.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with Australian-based stakeholders.
- Experience working offshore and supporting international clients is preferred.
