About the role
- Lead product development initiatives on the SAP S/4HANA platform and associated applications.
- Manage end-to-end product lifecycles, ensuring products and tools support business objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate closely with functional stakeholders, technology partners, and senior management to develop, improve, and expand products and processes.
- Define and communicate a clear product vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned with business goals.
- Oversee formulation and prioritization of product initiatives informed by commercial, financial, and operational analysis and stakeholder input.
- Act as the owner of the Global Template for the applicable functional area(s), ensuring high standards in design and delivery.
- Oversee functional design and delivery of Enhancements, Projects, Programmes and Support for the domain area.
- Serve as primary liaison between business functions, technology, operations, and executive teams for alignment on goals, timelines, and resources.
- Oversee ideation, design, development, testing, launch, adoption, and support phases of product delivery.
- Ensure product roadmaps and initiatives align with company budgets and strategies, prioritising high-value outcomes.
- Establish and monitor key product and business metrics to support data-informed decision-making.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of business analysts, functional experts, and other relevant team members.
- Cultivate a culture of innovation, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Role may require travel within South Africa and some travel abroad; reporting to Director Enterprise Applications.
Requirements
- End-to-end understanding of business and technical disciplines enabling solution design.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver end-to-end SAP solutions across disciplines.
- Familiarity with SAP delivery methodologies.
- Capable communicator across technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership.
- Adept in managing diverse, global teams within complex and challenging environments.
- Relationship builder – internal and external.
- Effective communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement.
- Dynamic, resolute, and effective in producing cross-departmental outcomes.
- SAP S/4HANA certifications in the applicable functional area(s); additional module certifications.
- Deep practical experience in IBP with SAP Ariba and S/4HANA STP being an added advantage; need to manage STP functional experts.
- Configuration experience in Demand Planning, S&OP with Procurement, Response & Supply, Control Tower, Spend Analysis, and Business Network.
- Demonstrated solution design and delivery of end-to-end STP and FTS process landscapes.
- Multiple full lifecycle implementations in FMCG / CPG required.
- Leadership experience managing and mentoring business analysts and functional experts.
- Willingness/ability to travel within South Africa and internationally.
